Species Description
Typically 25-40 mm long, ranging to about 90 mm; deep purple; rhinophores are perfoliate and deep maroon in color; ceratea are purple near bases and bright orange to length. Formerly of the genus Flabellina.
Species Habitat
On rocky open coast and in bays. Capable of swimming.
Species Range
Intertidal to 35 m subtidal; British Columbia, Canada to Baja California, Mexico and Gulf of California.
