Species Description
The Striped Surfperch has an oval-shaped profile with a thin body. Numerous thin iridescent blue stripes present along body. Silvery in color with shades of gray to olive. Iridescent spots and markings on gill cover and head. Adults to 38 cm.
Species Habitat
Inhabit kelp forests, eelgrass, rocky reefs and surf zones. Usually in small groups or solitary.
Species Range
Southeastern Alaska to Central Baja California, Mexico.
