Species Description
Snail - Scaly spiral ribbing. Shoulder keeled and bearing projecting spines. Spinose peripheral keel. ~10 upturned spines per whorl. Scaly spiral cording throughout. Body whorl with 4 strongly developed spiral cords. Small specimens have long upturned spines, which are poorly developed in larger specimens. Height 20-47mm.

Uncommon below 80 ft at Catalina Island.
