Shell up to 55 mm in length, 37 mm in diameter. Thin walled, reddish brown or mottled grayish-brown spotted with black dots. Shell spire sunken. Body yellow-brown to orange.
Species Habitat
Often very abundant, plowing in the surface layers of mud and sandy mud just below lowest tide levels in bays.
Species Range
Morrow Bay, San Luis Obispo and Gulf of Califronia to Ecuador.
