Body up to 150 mm long with longer slender tentacles of two types; reddish branchiae and orange-red tentacular filaments arising in a dense cluster of 20-40 pairs.

Common in both rock and soft bottoms.
Species Range
Middle intertidal and subtidal to 20 m; Central California to Baja California, Mexico.
