Species Description
Forms loosely attached sheets over other sessile animals. Sheets are usually wrinkled w/ regularly scattered small inhalant pores and irregular larger exhalant openings, usually on raised parts of the colony.
Species Habitat
On rocks and in crevices, sheltered from sunlight and strong wave action. Low intertidal zone on open coast and in clean bays, subtidal to 60m on rocks walls and bases of larger kelps.
Species Range
Northern California to San Diego, possibly Baja.
