Species Description
Length to 22 in. Dark green above, mottled with lighter green and brown below. Dorsal fin with 13 spines and 12-14 rays. Anal fin with 3 spines and 6 six rays. Pectoral fin with 18-20 rays.
Species Habitat
Intertidal to 150 ft. Common in kelp beds.

Playa Maria Bay, Baja California. to Yaquinna Bay, Oregon.
