Species Description
Low, branched, decumbent perennials; 8 to 12 inches. Long, fleshy leaves, sometimes coarse and deeply toothed. Bright-yellow, button-like, compound inflorescence lacking ray flowers; blooms March-December.
Species Habitat
Common on mud and moist banks particularly in salt marshes.
Species Range
Alaska south to California and Arizona. Also found in eastern Canada.
