Species Description
Shell to 60 mm long. Relatively thin, generally circular, sometimes serrated on edges. Valves nearly equal in size, flat. Shell exterior gray to bluish black. The interior white or greenish yellow.
Species Habitat
Forms reegs in the subtidal zone and intertidal habitats. In mudflats or eel grass beds.
Species Range
Sitka, Alaska to Cabo San Lucas, Baja California.
