Species Description
Small cup corals that form large colonies. Stony cups are brownish-orange and the short tentacles are yellowish-orange. Diameter to about 12 mm. Previously Astrangia lajollanesis.
Species Habitat
Aggregations occur on lower sides of rocks and reefs.
Species Range
12 m or deeper; Monterey Bay, California to Baja California, Mexico.
