Species Description
Red Algae - Thalli nearly black, several to many erect branches alternately distichous arising from comon base. Main axis cylindrical, corticated, unbranched below, much branched above; densly congested, incurved branchlets. 8-25cm tall.

Intertidal to subtidal (to 6m).
